The Hardest Journey

"I heard that the program starts tommorow" said the representative. The program was going to introduce us to America. I think I know enough I have seen it in television every now and then. Maybe there is more than that. I better get there first if I take the program then I could be one of the first to be taken there. Well my name is Adis I am from Bosnia and Herzegovina its one place. There is a genocide going on right now. If we want to avoid it we have to leave our homes. I am planning to leave tonight. I do not care where I go as long I am save. Let me tell you how it started.

It is night and Adias is getting ready to leave. He has no idea where but Adias knows he is not going to stay. He is alone his family had left him nehind but he is ok with it because he told them to. They promised each other that they will meet againg someday but for now they will go their own ways. Adias wants to make it to Europe so from there he can go to America. So he is off on his journey to get somewhere safe. So they won't find him he decides to make it through the woods. Adias did not know that military dogs were set lose in the woods. He makes it through two days until two dogs find him. Adias did not know what to do when he saw them. They attacked him bitting him on the arm, legs, and torso. Adias still managed to run from the dogs and escape from them. So he walks through the woods for three days. Onde day a soldier finds him because he is looking for the dogs they let loose. He helps him up and takes him to a refugee camp.
There they tell him that Adias is safe from the genocide. So he can stay at the refugee camp where they will send him to America. Adias is so happy to hear that and cannot wait to leave. Under one condition which he must take a program where he will be introduced to America. He does not want to be on their bad side so he agress. The programs last about three weeks. For Adias it lasted a long time like three months ut he was happy to be in it. He finds iut that eveything on television about America is not real. The weeks pass and he is ready to go to America. He feels prepared and ready to take on the world. So they out him on the to Chicago. There he looks out the window wondering where his family is at.
